Actor - Singer - Voiceovers

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta this Asian Canadian actress first caught the acting bug when she was cast as an orphan boy in a musical production of "Oliver!" at the age of nine. An over achiever in school, she won many prestigious awards including first place in the provincial science fair, to winning a ballet scholarship, to being crowned Miss. Philippine Cultural Society all by the time she was thirteen years old!

While studying drama and mathematics at the University of Alberta she was cast in a teen production of  "Two Gentleman of Verona - the Musical!" at the prestigious Edmonton Citadel Theatre. From there she auditioned for the Grant MacEwan Theatres Arts program and had the wonderful opportunity to study with Ken Brown (Life After Hockey). Soon after graduating she was excited to be cast in an independent Brad Fraser musical feature film. However, three months into rehearsal, the day before shooting was to begin, production was cancelled.

Susan left acting to pursue other interests and during that brief period she sold Mary Kay cosmetics! Talk about a change in career! In fact, she won her car (a red Pontiac Grand Am) in the first 9 months of selling the product. She also became the youngest Sales Director in Canada at the age of 21, and had the rare opportunity to meet and have lunch with Mary Kay herself in Dallas, Texas. However, despite her success, Susan still felt something was missing and sadly left her business behind. Today she is still forever grateful to that company for giving her the experience and confidence to succeed.

Strange as it may seem, Susan was crowned yet again in another local pageant as Miss.Metro Manila and Miss.Talent. She was offered an opportunity to record with a famous producer in the Philippines but turned it down to focus on working in Canada. Soon after she won a local singing contest for a Mr.Turtles nation wide search. From there she was modelling, appearing on billboards, and commercials locally.

After finally setlling down, she married and had a baby. Acting was still at the back of her mind. She was then cast in a Citadel Production for the "King and I." Glad to be on stage again she vowed to dedicate all her efforts into acting. She made the great move to Toronto where she now resides with her husband and her two children.

Since then, Susan has appeared in over 30  commercials, and has had roles in stage, film, television and voiceovers. Today she is actively studying with Lewis Baumander (whom she is forever grateful ) and continues to actively pursue her goal to be an accomplished actress and to help others do the same...
